Description
Save the date for this year's edition of the Amarrass Desert Music Festival! The first weekend of December will see a stellar line-up of world-class musicians come together in Delhi for two days of fabulous music celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the desert regions of the world. Also presenting 'Showcases' with up-and-coming artists.

This year's award-winning international and Indian artists include:
Bombino (Niger) - "The Hendrix of Niger"
Sakar Khan (Rajasthan, India) - Padma Shri awardee - "The grandmaster of the Manganiyars"
Baba Zula (Turkey) - psychedelic folk rock from Istanbul
Barmer Boys (Rajasthan, India) - the next generation of world-class folk from India
The Siddis from Kutch (Gujarat, India) - trance-like grooves, the direct link between India and Africa
GFD (Rajasthan, India) - Ghewar, Firoze and Dara
Dischordian (Mumbai/Goa, India) - minimalistic melancholy songs and sinister ballads
I-Adra: Gwyneth Glyn (Wales), Tauseef Akhtar (Mumbai) and group - folk guitar meets ghazal
Tritha Electric - Hindustani trip-hop, ethno-grunge - a Indo-French collab
Harpreet - Classically trained vocalist and guitarist, sings in Punjabi and Hindi
Alan Rego - guitarist and mouth organ player, compositions for children
The Blue Infinity - Dreamy acoustic sounds for meditation - ancient avant-garde music
Rock Veda - progressive fusion from Kabul and his band
Over 14 hours of music over two days!!! 50 artists, 12 bands, music spanning 4 continents. Gates open at 2pm. Music from 2:30pm - 10pm daily.
Instrument "petting zoo", workshops, kiosks and instrument exhibits.......
Full service food, beverages, liquor/beer/wine on-site at the venue.........
NOTE: FREE admission for children under the age of 12 (must be accompanied by an adult)
